Developing AR solution for First Responders, in the midst of record-breaking season of wildfires across the West, was an intense experience. We are extremely appreciative of Cal Fire Staff and Fire Scientists in Montana for collaborating with us during this project. We learned so much and firsthand recognize the extraordinary efforts the emergency response teams have been putting in for protecting lives, homes, and land. Thanks to NIST PSCR CHARIOT Challenge, we focused on a cutting-edge AR UI design for public safety use. The A1R team proposes a dynamic system to manage datastreams for maximum intelligence while managing cognitive load.
We look forward to returning to these design challenges in other projects, the need is big and the tech is ready yet needs deployment.
